Welcome to the 24 Hour Cancer Craftacular!

Welcome to the first blog post for the 24 Hour Cancer Craftacular.  Many of you are familiar with this event and many are now. So, let me give you a brief run down of the event:

This event is a 24 hour sewing/crocheting/knitting craft-a-thon where participants will be making hats and blankets for adults and children who are experiencing cancer and cancer treatment.  Hats and blankets will be donated to Randall Children's Hospital and Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Adult items will be donated to OHSU.

Not only will they be crafting soft warm goodies that provide love and comfort but, they will be raising cash as well! How?  Do you remember the good 'ole fashioned jog-a-thon?  This is much the same. Crafters will be asking people to sponsor them at a flat rate or hourly rate. If you get hourly sponsors - the longer you stay and craft, the more they will be donating! The funds raised will be going to the Children's Cancer Association.
